NomadicRooms was founded by Magnus Marcus Mommsen, a visionary technology entrepreneur hailing from Durban & Cape Town, South Africa. With a deep-rooted passion for innovation and a nomadic spirit, Marcus has lived and worked across diverse corners of the globe, including England, Ireland, various parts of Europe, and Southeast Asia. Immersed in the coliving and coworking digital nomad community, he experienced firsthand the transformative power of shared spaces and connected lifestyles.
Inspired by his global journey, Marcus set out to solve the challenges faced by digital nomads: finding reliable workspaces, affordable accommodations, and authentic community connections in new destinations. In 2025, he founded NomadicRooms.com to create a one-of-a-kind club that combines the best of coliving and coworking, offering a lifetime membership model that provides unparalleled flexibility and belonging.
